Chalet Chef Job
An existing client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking an experience Private Chef to work at their exquisite Chalet in Courchevel1850. Only EU passport holders should apply.
The role is initially for the Winter season but for the right math there may be the potential to extend for the summer in St Tropez as well as for further winter seasons. The property has recently been refurbished to a very high specification and the successful candidate would form a part of a dedicated Team. The property features a commercial style kitchen and will require candidates happy to work and the clients are happy to furnish any kitchen equipment that is not already present.
Pre requisites:
Private Household experience
Driver
Fluency in English (French and Advantage)
Ability to start before November
Happy to cook for both Guests and Staff
Widely versed in Modern International Cuisine
Preferable Michelin * experience
EU Passport Holder or French CDS
A candidate with no pets or dependent and a real team player with little ego is an important for the functionality/smooth operations of the property. The chef will be happy to share staff accommodation in a 5 bedroom Staff Chalet. The principals will often eat out and when Principals are in residence the party will often only include two people with a maximum of 10 for perhaps 4/5 nights of the year when the principal entertains. The role will require flexibility to seasonality of demand and the Chalet Chef must be happy with periods of downtime when they only cater to the chalet team Lunch and Dinner.
On occasion the Principals may order from a local restaurants and expect the chef to be happy to simply to “plate and accentuate” or extend the menu to include a complimentary variety.
