Chalet Chef & Hostess job

A family of 3 (with 1 grown up child plus 3 other grown up children who come home at Christmas), based in a beautiful private chalet near a stunning resort in Switzerland is looking for a Chef / Hostess couple for the upcoming winter season. The chalet is located 10 minute from the main resort and has a separate staff large studio.

The Chef / Hostess couple must have experience working within high end private households and yachts.

This position will be for this winter and runs from 1st December to 30th April (approx.).

The chef's role will entail preparing fresh, healthy, creative and delicious daily meals (Breakfast, Light Lunch and Dinner) with a preference for light and Mediterranean cuisine.

The housekeeping side of the couple must be confident and competent as you will be looking after a 6 bedroom/bathroom house. You will be looking after all the cleaning, laundry and ironing and running the chalet in perfect order.

Candidates should provide excellent care for the family members and friends (occasionally).

Daily tasks include shopping for groceries, newspapers and household supplies, managing household stocks and supplies, running errands and occasionally help with contacting known vendors (such as flowers shop, snow removal, etc.). Occasional transport service to the main resort may be expected for the family members or friends as well as looking after the cars.

Valid driver's licenses are required for both candidates.

The couple should be lovely, down to earth candidates who are discreet, conscientious, and able to work honestly and diligently without constant supervision.

The clients also have other properties and the couple may have to travel but very occasionally.

This is a role suitable for a Couple who love the mountains as well as country side and are happy to be flexible and travel on occasions.

There will be a week of training partly with the owner at the beginning of December which is a great chance to get used to the resort and the chalet.

Fluency in English and French (optional) is required.

Accommodation: A separate and large studio is provided with kitchen and bathroom - No Pets

Days: 6 days per week - working weekends and day off in the week

Salary: On application, a competitive salary is offered according to experience

Expenses: Flights/Trains to and from the resort are reimbursed.
