A fantastic opportunity for an assistant house manager has become available in a UHNW, private Chalet complex in St Moritz. The property is extremely high spec, with smart home technology and full spa facilities, split. The chalet spans over 7 floors and if furnished to the highest level. There are also some smaller apartments within the complex. The chalet although privately owned is run like a 5* hotel for the owner, his guests and his family.


The position is all year round in an ultra-luxury chalet. There are 8 full time staff members that take care of cooking, driving, maintenance and housekeeping. However during the busy winter season, several other staff come from the family’s yacht to help.


The Ideal candidate would have worked in private homes before or ultra-high end chalets. Must be used to working with UHNWI’s, be flexible, reliable and professional at all times.


Maintenance/Technical skills are also vital as the property contains multiple gadgets and high tech electronics. The main purpose of the role is to help the existing team in their daily duties and take care of all things tech related. The chalet has electric curtains, computers, Wi-Fi, hot tubs, air conditioning units etc so the desired candidate should have no issues with fixing them.


The client also has a collection of vintage cars, kept within a gallery in the chalet – so any mechanical training would be of interest to the client.


Unfortunately due to level of responsibility that comes with this role, it is preferred that the staff do not ski or snowboard during the season. The family would like the staff to be entirely focused on being professional and on call all throughout the winter season (October – March). When the client is not in residence, the current staff work on a rota basis, of 4 days on, 4 days off.


The owner visits every weekend and on occasion throughout the season for 1 – 2 weeks at any time. When the client is in residence, the role will be extremely busy and there will be no time off during this time.


Driving would be useful, as there may be occasional airport transfers. There is also a staff car, for local use.


Staff accommodation – there are options. They can provide accommodation for 6-8 people on site.


Salary: 3,200 CHF per month, plus accommodation and package

Salary can be negotiated and is dependent on experience and previous salary etc.


There is also a dog that will need to be taken care of.
