Chauffeur Handyman Job


My client, who is currently based in Oxfordshire, requires an experienced Driver with Maintenance and Handyman skills. The client is based in Oxford, but you will also be working from London Monday to Thursday. They will then be moving to London in 2-3 months, when your role will be then between London and the Lake District where they have another property.


Duties will include;


  • Household and Gardening Maintenance

  • DIY and Basic Repairs

  • Household Errands

  • Driving into London, and up to the Lake District when required

  • Use and Maintenance of Cars – you will be driving a Bentley


The London property is in St. John’s Wood. When you are required to accompany the principal to the Lake District, your accommodation and expenses will be covered. You may be required to work weekends, and will be given days in lieu if this is the case.


As it stands at the moment, on average;


Mondays 9pm drive from Oxford to London

Tuesdays to Thursdays Oxford doing maintenance gardening during day approx. 8.30am or 9am-6pm

Thursdays 7.30pm pick up in London (sometimes earlier, afternoon to do maintenance jobs in London apartment) drive to Oxford

Fridays Oxford gardening/maintenance.

Ad hoc driving to Lake District property, e.g. Friday 12th May leave Oxford 10.00, 3 stops on the way, including principal’s lunch, dinner meetings, arrive Lake District midnight, Saturday 13th catch train back to Oxford (all expenses paid for B&B and travelling costs) – half day off in lieu whenever the person wants to take it. 

There is total flexibility here for time of in lieu for weekend driving whenever the person wants to keep it and take it.
