(44617) ASAP start: Chef required for formal private household in New York and in the Hamptons during the summer months. The clients live in New York year round, then spend from June - September in the Hamptons.

 

Chef to cater for 2 children (8 and 10 years old) and 2 adults. The clients like a wide range of cuisines, airing on the healthy side most of the time, but they also like to indulge and they entertain regularly. The family love Asian, Italian, Mediterranean cuisine, just to name a few. There are no dietary requirements, however they do have food profiles to cover all family preferences (i.e no raw onion or raw garlic).

 

Occasional staff meals are also required for up to 8 staff. The staff have very simple food, usually just lunch or dinner each day.

 

The children tend to eat first and then the adults eat after, so can be a busy day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is required, 5 days per week (6 days per week when in the Hamptons).

 

The family do entertain from time to time. They have lunch or dinner parties for up to 18 people.

 

Chef must be experienced and able to cook to an extremely high standard. Must be friendly and polite at all times and must work well with others.

 

Accommodation:

Hamptons: Provided, shared apartment with permanent live-in couple.

New York: Live-out

 

Salary: £70,000 gross per annum equivalent.
