A luxury chalet company in St Anton is looking for highly qualified and experienced chefs to work this coming season. (December – April).
The company have chalets in Courcheval and St Anton. Most chalets cater for between 6-12 people, with one flag ship chalet which sleeps 24.
The chefs will need to be flexible working alone or as a pair at times. Meals consist of breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. There is no set menu, and the client is looking for creative chefs that will embrace the freedom to design their own exciting menus whilst catering for guests with any specific dietary requirements. There is also no strict budget as the company believe in good quality ingredients!
Breakfast will be a buffet, continental and one hot option each day that should change daily. Afternoon tea consists of one sweet option and one savoury option.
Dinner will be five courses, canapés, starter, main, desert and a cheese board.
The desired candidates will preferably have experience on yachts or in private households, restaurants and chalets. The kitchen is well equipped and the food budget tends to be fairly generous to allow for cooking with the best fresh produce.
Salary for the chef in the larger chalet is approximately £1000 per month and £800 for the smaller chalet, plus very good tips. Package includes ski pass, ski hire, travel to and from resort, insurance, food and accommodation (room in apartment 5 mins from chalet)
Working hours would change weekly depending on guest requirements but generally you would have one day off per week, as well as the opportunity to ski most days between the service times of breakfast and afternoon tea.
