Community support co-ordinator Job Borehamwood Start ASAP

 

Greycoat Lumley’s client is looking to employ a Community Support Co-ordinator to join their team on part-time basis.

The Community Support Co-ordinator will aim to provide support and guidance to individual members of the company and work on the following duties:

  • Co-ordinate support projects

  • Train, recruit, supervise and support volunteers

  • To maintain the confidential telephone Community Support Line

  • To promote and publicise the Community Support Centre

The ideal candidate will have the following essential skills:

  • Proven experience working in voluntary or community sector

  • The ability to assess the skills of volunteers as well as the needs of clients

  • Ability to work with vulnerable people of all ages and abilities

  • Ability to create and implement projects

  • Excellent communication, management and IT skills

Other desirable skills are:

  • A good working knowledge of the Jewish community

  • Appropriate professional qualification

  • Experience in managing, training and supporting staff

  • IT database skills/ experience

 

Hours/working days: Part-time (20.5 hours per week)

Salary: £ 22, 000 per year
