My corporate client is looking for an Assistant chef this is a Monday to Friday role with super hours, on a 6 month FTC.

There is an opportunity to be creative with menu ideas and planning, ensuring meals are nutritious, balanced and include a meat, vegetarian dish and salad choices.

The menu style is a healthy modern cafe Staff buffet luch for 120

During and after lunch the Assistant Cook will be required to help clear down the kitchen and clean in preparation

Candidates should have a City & Guild’s 706/1 Basic cookery and 706/2 Advanced cookery skills qualification, Cookery NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and hold a food Hygiene certificate at level 2 as a minimum.

Person Specification requirements:

·At least 5 years’ experience working in a comparable kitchen environment.

·Should have a good eye for detail, presentation and be an all-round chef.

·They should have a drive and passion for food and skills to adapt to a busy kitchen environment.

·They should be able to work under pressure and have an unflappable nature.

·They must be self-motivated

·Work well in a team environment

·Be flexible towards working practices

·Cope with a workload of varying intensity and show versatility

Salary 32-35k
