Estate Housekeeper & Private Chef Couple Job, Scotland
Greycoat Lumleys are seeking an exceptional, proactive, and highly motivated couple to join a private family estate. This is a unique opportunity for a professional Housekeeper and Chef/Cook team who enjoy a varied role, take pride in maintaining the highest standards, and thrive in a beautiful rural setting.
The successful couple will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running and presentation of two private residences, ensuring both properties are always guest-ready and maintained to an exceptional standard.
Hospitality, luxury hotel, private household, superyacht, or similar high-end service experience is highly desirable.
Housekeeper / Estate Support Responsibilities
Full housekeeping and cleaning of two private properties
Laundry, ironing, and household organisation
Preparing residences for family visits and guests
Maintaining the gym, swimming pool, sauna, bar area, and wine cellar
Coordinating with contractors and service providers
Assisting the Estate Manager and wider estate team as required
Light gardening duties around staff accommodation (main gardening team already in place)
Caring for estate chickens
Managing household supplies and inventories
Ensuring properties remain secure, organised, and operating efficiently
Chef Responsibilities
Planning and preparing meals for family visits and guests
Delivering a range of dining experiences from breakfasts and casual suppers to formal dining and dinner parties
Menu planning and sourcing quality ingredients
Food preparation, presentation, and service
Maintaining the highest standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety
Additional Responsibilities
Management of a small classic car collection, including:
Vehicle presentation and cleaning
Service scheduling and maintenance coordination
Documentation and record keeping
Ensuring vehicles remain ready for use
Working collaboratively with the Estate Manager, farmer, and external service providers
Interest in beekeeping would be welcomed but is entirely optional
At least one member of the couple must hold a full driving licence (both preferred due to the rural location and travel between properties)
Competitive salary of approximately £70,000 GPA Combined
