Couple Job - Italy 

A UHNW private principal with residences in Rome and Tuscany is seeking an experienced land-based couple or a couple transitioning from Yachts to land-based roles.The household runs to a high standard within a sophisticated but warm and informal environment. An experienced Italian team is already in place, providing strong foundations for the incoming hire. 

The outline of the position is for an experienced housekeeper/chef couple to be focused on the property in Rome. Excellent central separate accommodation is provided with this role and is part of the employment package. 

Location: Rome (primary residence), with occasional trips to Tuscany as the household requires

Existing Italian Team

Resident Italian domestic couple: day-to-day cleaning, general upkeep and holiday cover

Italian PA: scheduling, local coordination and operational matters

THE POSITIONS

Head Housekeeper

  • Overall oversight of household standards across the Rome residence, with occasional involvement at the Tuscany property

  • Day-to-day management and coordination of the resident domestic couple

  • Household inventories, linen, consumables and procurement

  • Management of external contractors, tradespeople and specialist suppliers

  • Wardrobe and personal effects management

  • Liaison with the Italian PA on operational and scheduling matters

  • Support with events, guest preparation and property readiness

Private Chef

  • Daily lunch and dinner preparation tailored to the principal's preferences and dietary requirements

  • Guest catering from relaxed family meals to larger dinner occasions and private parties

  • Breakfast and light meal preparation as required

  • Seasonal, health-conscious menus; strong Mediterranean and Italian cooking essential

  • Menu planning, market shopping and supplier relationships

  • Full kitchen management and food hygiene standards

 IDEAL CANDIDATES

  • Proven experience in a high-calibre private household, UHNW estate or superyacht environment

  • Strong English; Any Italian Language skills

  • Right to work in Italy (essential)

  • Comfortable with a seasonal schedule and the flexibility it naturally requires

  • Professional, warm and discreet

Live-in hours 10:30 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 21:30 | Six days per week | 54 hrs/week

Live-out hours10:45 to 13:30 and 16:15 to 21:30 | Five days per week | 40 hrs/week

All figures are inclusive of the statutory 13th month (tradesman).

Salary: €6,000 net per month combined, paid over 13 months
