Live In Couple job near Clitheroe Lancashire – Jan 2019 start
(50496) Our client is looking for an experienced Couple to take on a role to look after a large property near Clitheroe Lancashire. You will be looking after a couple who are moving into this 6 bedroomed property in early 2019 and it is planned that the couple can move in in advance of the owners and assist in project managing some remedial renovation and decorating works which will be carried out before they move in. The home is in a farm house style with a modern / traditional interior.
Duties will include:
Hands on cleaning, laundry and ironing – two part-time cleaners will also be employed 1 day per week
Shopping for the kitchen and general household items
Some cooking for the couple – fresh healthy meals and some knowledge of vegetarian cooking a bonus
General household maintenance – managing the pump rooms, hands on with general maintenance, swimming pool, tennis court, dealing with the property contractors and reporting any faults or problems
Driving, airport runs, running errands, care of the household vehicles
Making up, cleaning and maintain wood burners and open fires.
The household currently employs a gardener and you will need to work with them to assist with lawns, hedges, leaves etc.
Take responsibility for the security of the property – monitoring CCTV, locking up the house and being around when the client is away
You may also be asked to travel in advance of the owners to other properties that they own to prepare them for use and also to generally monitor property maintenance
Both need to be drivers
The couple need to be organised, discreet, proactive and be able to manage their own time and have an excellent eye for detail, have a good sense of humour and be down to earth.
This is mainly a Monday to Friday role with occasional evenings and weekends
Accommodation is a separate 3 bed bungalow with its own garden and double garage. Council tax paid by employer – furnished or unfurnished
