Our Client is a Michelin Star Chef launching a new events company and he is looking for an experienced events planner who has a proven track record within a planning or sales role, ideally within a luxury events company or an event catering company.

The core event business will be situated in High Wycombe in a purpose built premises. As the event planner you will be required to come into the office once a week but the remaining 4 days you will be able to work remotely. You will be initially planning corporate and private events in London and across the UK for up to 200 people at the time. These could range from award shows, fashion events, corporate launches, gala dinners and summer parties to name a few.

The Job Role

  • The successful Event Planner will have responsibility for each event from quotation through to completion, followed by handing over to the Front of House Operations Team.

  • Tracking all new business enquiries.

  • Turning quotes around ideally in 48 hours and a maximum of 5 days including but not limited to food and beverage, marquees, lighting and music.

  • Attending events on the day to introduce manger (if they have not met before) and post event de-brief meeting when and where necessary.

  • Participation in planners meetings.

  • Arranging agency staff when required

  • Attending client meetings to best fully understand what will be required

  • Fully responsible and accountable for your own administration.

The Person

  • The successful Event Planner must have a proven track record within a planning or sales role, ideally within a luxury events company or an event catering company working within London's premier venues.

  • A pro-active salesperson.

  • You must have a strong knowledge of the food and drink market, current trends and be one step ahead of the competition.

  • Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills.

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE + Bonus + Travel Expenses

Hours: Monday – Friday (weekends when required)

1 day a week in the High Wycombe office, the other 4 days can be worked remotely.

28 days holiday
