The house is used frequently by the family and by the family’s business. They have children and grandchildren who will also be there from time to time. The house will be used privately by the family, but also for business lunches, dinners and larger events and parties, sometimes for up to 150 people. The family will expect everything to run to a 6* standard. Despite the high standards required throughout, the family are friendly and relaxed as individuals. It is important that all staff know how to interact with them, but also maintain a professional distance. Working a 5-6 day week, depending on the family’s movements and corporate events at the property.

 

Duties include:

  • Deal with all meeting and event enquires, whether they arrive by email or phone

  • Working to ensure that the detail of every event booked with us is coordinated and executed to the finest detail

  • Coordinate with external suppliers on requirements of an event and ensure, organise and manage the delivery of services from suppliers

  • Liaising with the planner of each event to fully understand requirements and the purpose of the event

  • Working with the House Chef and if necessary external caterers to create an innovative and tailored menu taking into consideration specific dietary requirements of guests

  • Provide suitable, relevant and bespoke decor depending on the theme of the event

  • Create a unique, memorable experience for our guests

  • Working with the security of the property to brief them on the guests attending and ensuring the safe execution of each event

  • Ensure the smooth running of the logistics of each event including transportation for guests

  • Facilitate the smooth running of the event and taking the initiative to respond to last minute changes

  • Adapting and designing an itinerary for each event tailored to the need of the clientele and size of each event

  • Organise staffing needs for each event

  • Liaise with Management Team in planning of key events

Personal experience

  • Demonstrable events management experience, including corporate client liaison/account management

  • Methodical with impeccable organisational and administrative skills

  • Clear and open lines of communication to enable effective and precise collaboration with everyone associated and working on the various events

  • Highly numerate

  • Effectively manage budgets

  • Tech savvy and conversant with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel (advanced experience required), PowerPoint and Outlook

  • High standard of accuracy and consistent attention to detail

  • Engaged and motivated, able to work autonomously, who can successfully plan and organise workloads to meet set deadlines

  • Confident in liaising with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels

  • Customer-focused, with the ability to influence and engage and build effective relationships

  • Function Diary Management

  • Ability to handle negotiation and overcome objections

Salary: On aplication – dependant on experiemnce (around £250-£300 gross per day)
