Sole Gardener – Alderley Edge, Cheshire – ASAP Start – £35,000 GPA
A highly experienced and dedicated Sole Gardener is sought to oversee the care and presentation of an impressive 14-acre private garden in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.
This varied, hands-on role would suit a knowledgeable horticultural professional who takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards. The estate includes formal gardens, natural wild garden areas, a vegetable garden and extensive lawns, offering plenty of scope for an enthusiastic gardener to make a lasting contribution.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of day-to-day gardening and grounds maintenance
- Planting, pruning and providing expert ongoing care for a wide range of plants
- Maintaining lawns to a high standard, including mowing, feeding and edging
- Keeping all outdoor areas immaculate, orderly and well-presented throughout the year
- Carrying out basic tree care and maintenance
- Overseeing the cultivation and upkeep of the vegetable garden
Role details:
- Full-time position (but would also consider a 4 day week)
- Monday to Friday working pattern
- Start date: as soon as the successful candidate is available
- Salary: £35,000 GPA (pro-rata for 4 days)
