Gardeners Job Nr Coventry West Midlands
(47481) An experienced Gardener is required for a young family who are in the process of taking over a large country estate near Coventry. There will be a period of some renovations to the main property over the summer months and the family then plan to take up permanent residence in late 2018. The roles will be to start in May 2018 in order to ensure that there are staff on site to deal with the day to day running of the house and dealing with contractors. This is a country shooting estate that would suit a country loving couple / gardener who are dog friendly. You will be working as part of the wider estate team so you need to be happy to be in this working environment and be happy to muck in as and when required.
Staff need to be flexible and generally able to manage their own time without too much direction.
We are currently also looking for a Couple for the family but if we are not able to find a Gardener within the Couple, the family will employ someone in this separate Gardeners role which will either be on a live out or live in basis.
This is an exciting role for an experienced Gardener with good plant knowledge as the couple are looking to renovate different areas of the garden, starting with a large walled garden.
Hands on gardener with experience with fruit, vegetables and orchards as well as more general gardening
Horticultural experience with good plant knowledge
Work with the owners (who will be hands on) with the regeneration of the garden to implement new plans for an extensive walled garden
Being able to advise the owner on how to bring their plans for the walled garden and areas surrounding the main house to reality
Possibly come from a gardening business background although this is not essential as there are plans for the walled garden to be part of a more commercial aspect of the estate in the future with it supplying food and beverage outlets on the estate.
Accommodation can be available for the Gardener on the estate
£ned dep on experience
May 2018 start
