About the Role:

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of the company’s events kitchen production to ensure the consistent and flawless delivery of our clients’ events.

  • Lead and promote a team culture that focuses on the client and company values and a passion for heritage and artisan British cuisine.

  • Design and implement systems and processes to ensure efficient and consistent kitchen operations in terms of menu production, health and safety and compliance.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Will oversee the leadership of all departments in the events kitchen to ensure food production for every event is delivered to the very highest of standards in line with company systems and processes.

  • Work with the department sous-chefs to ensure the kitchen brigade is delivering consistency of all cuisine at all events

  • To understand and live the company’s core values and ensure that the company is well represented by the kitchen brigade at all times

  • Ensure a full understanding of our client’s brief and work with the events and creative team to deliver the desired concept

  • Oversee and support senior sous-chef in delivering client tastings, adopting a client facing role where necessary to support the pitch.

  • To oversee food purchasing, seeking out new, high quality products. Champion independent, up and coming suppliers where possible

  • Be an expert in the heritage and preparation of British cuisine and current industry trends

  • Research and test new ideas trending within the London restaurant scene in order to keep the company at the cutting edge of our industry and as a first choice partner for our clients

  • Oversee a collaborative approach to the designing of all stall menus

  • Create a bank of non-agency high quality temp chefs to support delivery of events during busy periods

  • Oversee costings and recipes of all dishes an accurately recorded

  • Oversee the logistics of all events to ensure the venues are fully prepared for the brigade to deliver the client menu to the highest quality

  • Monthly collation and analysis of stock including quality and wastage management, to ensure delivery of the target GP as agreed with the directors and events team

  • Work with Event Managers to ensure all relevant financial information is being recorded, reported and delivered within budget for each project

  • Ensure all catering equipment within the kitchen is correctly maintained and cleaned. Arrange servicing and PAT testing as required

  • Ensure the company complies with all hygiene, health and safety legislation and industry regulatory bodies both in the central kitchen and at events sites

  • Ensure testing and recording of all food recipes on Kitchen Cut to account for all allergens

  • contribute to the Leadership meetings, bringing kitchen issues and potential solutions to the forefront

 

 

Regular meetings with the Executive Chef

Full-year and mid-year appraisals

Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 + Bonus
