Location: Courchevel, France (with seasonal travel)
Salary: Up to €120,000 (DOE)
Start Date: July / August 2026

The Role
We are seeking a world-class Head Housekeeper / Assistant House Manager to oversee a prestigious, large-scale formal chalet in the heart of Courchevel. This is a unique, "hands-on" leadership role designed for a professional who thrives in high-energy environments and maintains impeccable standards.

You will be responsible for the seamless daily operation of a primary luxury chalet, managing a dedicated team including two housekeepers and working closely with the facilities manager. The household belongs to a vibrant, fun-loving family with teenage children who enjoy an active lifestyle and hosting memorable events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Act as the "Chalet Manager," supervising staff to ensure 5-star standards are met across all areas.

  • Hands-on Housekeeping: Leading by example in the meticulous care of fine finishes, fabrics, and high-end interiors.

  • Event Support: Assisting with the coordination of high-profile gatherings and parties.

  • Seasonal Travel: Accompanying the family during summer months to locations such as St. Tropez or Nice (typically short trips/hotel stays).

  • Administrative Oversight: Managing household logistics and vendor relations.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a background in 5-star hospitality or experience within a well-known, large-scale formal household (yacht experience is also highly valued). You should be open-minded, adaptable, and comfortable transitioning between formal service and a more relaxed, informal family atmosphere.

  • Language: Conversational French (minimum) is required and fluent English

  • Skills: A strong "take-charge" personality with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.

  • Driving: Must hold a valid driving license.

  • Eligibility: Must hold an EU Passport or have the right to work in France.

  • Personal Interests: A passion for skiing is a significant advantage, as the family is very active on the slopes.

Package & Logistics

  • Salary: Competitive package up to €120,000 per annum.

  • Accommodation: High-quality staff accommodation provided in a separate chalet overlooking the main residence.

  • Schedule: Full-time, year-round role (5 days per week).

  • Pets: Please note this is a strictly no-pets household and staff accommodation.
