The Role
We are seeking a world-class Head Housekeeper / Assistant House Manager to oversee a prestigious, large-scale formal chalet in the heart of Courchevel. This is a unique, "hands-on" leadership role designed for a professional who thrives in high-energy environments and maintains impeccable standards.
You will be responsible for the seamless daily operation of a primary luxury chalet, managing a dedicated team including two housekeepers and working closely with the facilities manager. The household belongs to a vibrant, fun-loving family with teenage children who enjoy an active lifestyle and hosting memorable events.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Act as the "Chalet Manager," supervising staff to ensure 5-star standards are met across all areas.
Hands-on Housekeeping: Leading by example in the meticulous care of fine finishes, fabrics, and high-end interiors.
Event Support: Assisting with the coordination of high-profile gatherings and parties.
Seasonal Travel: Accompanying the family during summer months to locations such as St. Tropez or Nice (typically short trips/hotel stays).
Administrative Oversight: Managing household logistics and vendor relations.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a background in 5-star hospitality or experience within a well-known, large-scale formal household (yacht experience is also highly valued). You should be open-minded, adaptable, and comfortable transitioning between formal service and a more relaxed, informal family atmosphere.
Language: Conversational French (minimum) is required and fluent English
Skills: A strong "take-charge" personality with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
Driving: Must hold a valid driving license.
Eligibility: Must hold an EU Passport or have the right to work in France.
Personal Interests: A passion for skiing is a significant advantage, as the family is very active on the slopes.
Package & Logistics
Salary: Competitive package up to €120,000 per annum.
Accommodation: High-quality staff accommodation provided in a separate chalet overlooking the main residence.
Schedule: Full-time, year-round role (5 days per week).
Pets: Please note this is a strictly no-pets household and staff accommodation.
