Housekeeper, The Grange Edinburgh
Greycoat Lumley’s clients are seeking a Full Time Housekeeper for their large home, the role will suit a Housekeeper with previous experience, ideally within a Private Family Household. The family are warm and welcoming and would like the Housekeeper to be with them for a number of years.
Duties include:
- Maintaining the home to an excellent standard
- Thorough cleaning and upkeep of all areas of the home, including kitchen and bathrooms.
- Dusting, hoovering, polishings and caring for high end finishes and furnishings.
- Managing all laundry and ironing, including delicate fabrics and fine wools
- Making beds, general tidying and ensuring the house remains organised, comfortable and running smoothly for a busy family.
- Taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the home and proactively identifying what needs doing without waiting to be asked.
- Running household errands and assisting with ad hoc family requirements.
- Receiving and unpacking grocery deliveries. Keeping the kitchen and household supplies organised.
- Liaising with tradesmen and external suppliers, including arranging access and overseeing work within the home.
- Has a warm and positive attitude and comfortable around children and happy to assist with school pick-ups when required.
The Housekeeper will ideally drive and there is parking on the driveway.
Hours: 40 hours per week (Will consider 35 with a pro rata salary)
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 GPA
