Housekeeper Opportunity in Munich, Germany – September 2026 start

Munich, Germany – Relocation assistance potentially offered for exceptional candidates

Proactive, independent, experienced housekeeper required for a private family at their main residence near Munich, Germany. The property is a new build with its own gardens, approx. 4,500 sqm including the gardens.

Essential Requirements

  • Professional housekeeping experience in UHNW Private residence, alternatively with yachting experience. Experience in 5-star-hotels also possible.

  • Consistent longevity in previous positions and excellent references is essential.

  • Willingness to work at weekends and bank holidays.

  • Driver with full licence, EU Passport essential.

  • Confident IT skills.

  • Languages required Fluent English and German.

  • Strictly Non-Smoker, high level of discretion, reliability and responsibility.

  • Still working hands-on, also when the person is in a leading housekeeping position. 

Responsibilities

  • Professional cleaning and care of high-end furnishings and fabrics.

  • Exclusive laundry care – including delicate fabrics, silks, cashmere etc.

  • Care of high quality and special finishes – marble, granite, slate floors and parkette.

  • Preparation of breakfast and cooking of light fresh healthy meals (occasionally, because there is a cook).

  • Supervision and coordination of external trades and contractors.

  • Running errands – grocery shopping, dry cleaning, post office, deliveries etc.

  • Driving for household shopping.

  • Managing, organising 2 housekeepers in Munich (weekly working plans, holidays etc.)

  • Being responsible for budgeting for running errands.

  • Service for Dinner/Events in the house, if needed.

  • Responsibilities may be expanded depending on seniority and broader professional experience.  

General conditions

  • This vacancy is a long-term position.

  • 40 hours per week include weekends and public holidays (if they work on the weekends, they have free time the following Monday and Tuesday)

  • When the principals are in residence the working day is split into 2 shifts: 08:00-13:00 and 18:00-21:00.

  • There will be a team of 3 housekeepers in total working on rotation, reporting to the House Manager.

  • Salary between €45.000  & €65.000 per annum depending on previous experience. The salary includes an accommodation allowance.

  • Holidays 26 days per annum.
