Part-Time Housekeeper – Edinburgh (Trinity)
Greycoat Lumley’s client are a friendly family based in the Trinity area of Edinburgh looking for a long-term Housekeeper to become a trusted and valued member of the home.
The family consists of two working professionals a child and a miniature dachshund.
We're looking for someone who enjoys creating an organised, welcoming home and who takes genuine pride in helping a busy household run smoothly.
The Role
Responsibilities will include:
Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home
General housekeeping
Tidying and organising living spaces
Laundry and occasional ironing
Light cooking, including preparing simple, healthy batch meals by following recipes (no advanced cooking skills required)
Household management, including coordinating appointments with tradespeople, gardeners, vehicle servicing and other household service providers
Proactively identifying tasks that need attention and ensuring the household runs efficiently
Please note that this role does not involve any childcare responsibilities.
Caring for Dog
A key part of this role is helping care for the dog including feeding and letting her into the garden.
We would also ideally like someone who is available for additional paid dog care:
Approximately one weekend each month (Friday afternoon until Monday morning), preferably in your own home.
Approximately one week each quarter while we are away on holiday, either in the family home or the Housekeeper’s.
The family are looking for someone who is reliable, trustworthy and discreet and a self-starter who can work independently and proactively identify what needs to be done. A genuine dog lover who will help our dog feel safe and settled.

Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £20 gross per hour + paid dog care as extra
Hours: 15–20 hours per week, ideally across three weekdays (for example Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 9.00am–2.00pm) - flexible for the right person.
