The Housekeeper will be responsible for the smooth running of the property, the holiday let apartments within the impressive property and overseeing cleaning of two long term flats that have a servicing arrangement. The main property is occupied by the Principals and their grown up children when they visit. They also have two dogs.

This role includes management but the individual will be very hands-on and work alongside the part time housekeepers. The working environment can be formal at times and a smart appearance is important when guests are present.

  • Cleaning of the main property (5 bedrooms) long term serviced apartments (2 apartments) and holiday lets (2 properties within the estate courtyard)

  • Laundry - bedding and personal clothing

  • Managing additional staff to ensure guests are well looked after. Extra help is available when required - the existing team are fully trained and accustomed to the duties involved

  • Knowledge of food and wine serving would be essential

  • A small amount of shooting/corporate weekends are held on the estate

  • Coordinating shoot lunches – usually consisting of a simple casserole dish

  • Meeting and greeting guests and liaising with their needs

  • Taking and coordinating bookings for the holiday lets

  • Occasionally supporting chef for morning breakfasts on catered weeks

  • Laying fires

  • Managing service of Fire and Burglar Alarms and all lifts
