Live in Housekeeper job in Hampstead , London NW3

Our client is seeking an excellent Housekeeper with great precision to help out in her large formal household. The couple have 4 children; all school age including one toddler, however already employ a number of nannies and housekeepers to help out. The role is to provide a wide variety of professional domestic services to an impeccable standard and to provide the highest level of care and service to the Principals, their family and guests in line with all procedures and policies ensuring at all times the smooth running of the household. You will be required to work both independently and as part of a team.

 

The family is looking for someone who is able to assist, guide and provide support to the other members of staff where necessary, have proven experience working in a Housekeeping Position in the hospitality industry or private sector, have good organisation skills, is a team player, able to carry out tasks quickly and competently, have good communication skills and good attention to detail, is proactive, self- motivated, able to demonstrate initiative, have a positive attitude and is discreet and resourceful.

 

You must be flexible to travel with the family including to their holiday home in Ibiza, Spain in the summer for 6-8 weeks.

 

Duties to include:

  • Caring for all areas of the house including, but not limited to, bedrooms, kitchen, living areas, bathrooms, entertainment areas

  • Diligent care of all items, antique and bespoke, following the specialist manuals for guidance on how to clean and care for them

  • Observe precautions required to protect the property, and report damage in specified log books

  • Dealing with guests in a courteous and polite manner

  • Laundry care, including the washing of delicate items, ironing and pressing.

  • Maintaining their storage in the wardrobes

  • Efficient wardrobe management together with off-site laundry tracking

  • Assisting with cooking, dinners and events on an ad hoc basis

  • Taking care of all equipment, including washing machines, fridges and hoovers

  • Managing and carrying out a turn down service

  • Dusting and polishing furniture and equipment

  • Purchase or order groceries and household supplies to keep kitchens stocked

  • Polishing silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings.

 

 

House: 3 storeys, 8 bedrooms

 

Hours: 5 day week, (1 day weekend) 7am to 7pm with a break

 

Accommodation: Your own bedroom and ensuite bathroom in the staff quarters

 

Salary: £450 - £500 net per week
