A client of Greycoat Lumleys - one of London's finest gourmet food stores and delicatessens - has a job for a Junior Chef to join their kitchen team. The company has a food shop and a few tables (around 12 covers) for customers to have snacks and teas and coffees. The main business is the take away food, from which customers can order. This includes different meat or fish dishes, soups, salads, bakery goods and also some puddings. The cuisine tends to be modern European, modern British, with an Ottolenghi style for the salads. There are also some private events at which the Junior Chef will be able to work at.
The ideal Junior Chef will have:
Experience of working in a commercial kitchen
The ability to work under pressure
Good people skills and be able to communicate with the clients
Hours:Monday to Friday – 8.30am to 16.30
Salary: £24,000-£22,000 per annum, plus overtime for any events, which would be paid separately.
