Kitchen assistant Job London Mid-October
Greycoat Lumleys’ client is currently looking to hire a full-time kitchen assistant. This is a work in a day-time recovery centre for patients with eating disorders, which aims to provide a “home experience” and help service users to recover.
The food will be also simple but nutritional and the kitchen assistant will be required to help the Head Chef in preparation, as well as to ensure that the kitchen area is always tidy and clean. The kitchen assistant will be required to help out with food preparation in Head Chef’s absence, therefore a willingness to learn and progress is a key. The centre has approximately 40 service users coming in between Monday and Friday.
The kitchen porter can expect:
Salary: £22, 000- £23, 000 (depending on experience)
Hours/day: between 40- 45 hours (Monday to Friday)
28 days’ paid annual leave
Training will be provided to get a better understanding of eating disorders
The right kitchen porter will:
Be engaging, friendly
Have experience in a similar establishment (Schools, nurseries, care homes, hospitals or recovery centres)
Be hardworking with good work –ethic
