Live In Chef & House Manager Couple Job Isle of Man
Greycoat Lumleys' client are seeking a Chef and House Manager due to the retirement of our longstanding Husband & Wife team after 20+ years. We are looking for an experienced Chef and House Manager to join a small, friendly and diverse team at a unique 5* establishment on the Isle of Man.
This is a small centre offering Weekend Workshop Retreats, Spa Days, small Corporate/Private Events and guest accommodation.
Already renowned island wide for our delicious home cooked dishes, our client wishes to retain their reputation for excellence in offering wholesome, healthy and attractive dishes and beautiful desserts. You will prepare your own menu of dishes to suit the different aspects of the business, whether it be more formal dining during a private event, buffet supper or light lunches and salads on spa days.
You must be able to cater for a wide variety of dietary requirements, inclusive, but not exhaustive of; vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, gluten free, nut & fish allergies, dairy intolerance.
Formal cooking for up to 16 guests
Buffet preparation for up to 25 guests
Be compliant with health and safety rules
The successful applicant must have a friendly, approachable attitude and work well with other members of the team.
To oversee a small team of cleaners and waiting staff and work with them to ensure a high level of customer service for guests and a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property. The role will involve day to day upkeep of the main house and guest accommodation (12 rooms in total).
This is a front of house position demanding outstanding customer service and client interaction in that you will be the main point of contact for guests during weekend workshops and over the lunch period on spa days.
Applicants should have an easy-going, positive, friendly, courteous and professional attitude and be dedicated to exacting standards.

Organisational and good management skills will be invaluable in this diverse role. Experience in the hospitality industry is essential as well as some basic computer skills.

Holiday: 2 days off per week & 25 days holiday per annum
Work day/ hours: Will fluctuate dependent upon when the events are running but for the main part, days off will generally be Monday & Tuesday.
