VVIP family based in Qatar is looking for an Arabic cuisine Private Chef to join their household and cook for the family on a daily bases as required. It is a fully staffed household.

The family is looking for someone who is familiar with healthy food preparation, creative, dedicated and flexible. The family is looking for someone long term who will be happy to relocate to Qatar for a couple of years.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • 6 days a week 12 hours a day – the working would be more while travelling

  • The Chef will be required to provide healthy and well balanced meals (breakfast, lunch or dinner) and create delicious and inventive recipes and suggestions for various occasions on a daily basis

  • To travel extensively when required with the Principal and quickly adapt to new countries, cultures, properties and kitchen layouts.

  • To source ingredients in various locations when travelling, maintain stock levels and manage the budget.

  • To skilfully cook delicious Middle Eastern style meals for the Principal and his family and their guests. This may include breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.

  • The chef needs to be adaptable to cooking for one individual or for a large amount of guests.

  • Plan and deliver quality menus to meet the needs of the Principal, including a full

  • Understanding of the family’s allergies, dietary requirements and personal taste.

  • Maintain high kitchen hygiene standards at all times.

  • Maintain a clean, safe and efficient working environment

  • Have up to date knowledge of developments in the culinary world, using this to inform recipe ideas and inspiration.

 

 

Personal profile

  • A genuine proven passion for cooking and food and an exemplary interest and knowledge in Middle Eastern cooking.

  • High level knowledge of Food Safety and kitchen Health and Safety.

  • Previous experience of food preparation and execution in a high pressure environment.

  • Proven experience working within the catering industry and leading others as head chef.

  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements.

  • Ability to adapt to new people and environments, working independently and alongside other household staff members.

  • Ability to work well and calmly under pressure and deliver to deadlines.

  • A very flexible attitude towards working hours and days is required.
