Live In Couple Job, East Sussex

 

A great opportunity for a Live In Couple to work in a stunning location in a peaceful village which is also close to amenities.

The clients use the property as a part-time residence and are approximately in residence for 6 months of the year.

 

They require a Couple who will both manage the gardens, one must be experienced in Garden maintenance who can maintain large areas of fields, wild meadows and woodlands.

 

Between you both the following duties will be:

 

  • Keeping the gardens “manicured” to a high level including lawns, garden plants which are planted immediately outside the house, hedges and the driveway.

  • Fields- fences kept in good repair, paths cut and kept clear, arranging hay, meadow and

exterior hedge cutting.

  • Maintenance of garden equipment.

  • Engaging and supervising tree and other experts/contractors if necessary

 

House Care and Maintenance

  • Maintaining household systems and ensuring everything is serviced and running smoothly

(e.g. boilers, oil tanks filled, windows cleaned, alarm and septic serviced )

 

There is the main house, a guest cottage and staff house all of which need to be regularly checked and ensure they are maintained with occasional spring cleans that the cleaner is not able to manage. i.e. high ceilings/beams.

 

Handyman duties – You will be expected to fix small repairs and general decoration to be carried depending on skill set. Beyond that liaison and supervision of contractors if needed for houses, grounds and land.

 

Additional P.A duties: Occasional food shopping and other errands (e.g. prior to our

return). Help in emergencies when we are in residence if necessary.

Keeping fleet of cars serviced, taxed etc., and ready to drive upon our return. Most cars are collected by dealers

 

Driving – Airport runs and into London on occasions, occasionally at short notice and antisocial hours, possibly longer overnight stays with accommodation paid for.

 

Accommodation:

An excellent large, comfortable semi-furnished house with three bedrooms available to use

(two further bedrooms left as storage ) the house is situated away from the main house but very close by.

Well behaved and quiet dog is welcome but sorry no cats or dependants

 

Please not the clients are smokers so you should be happy with this

Car provided for work and personal use

 

Salary negotiable depending on experience

Days of work – 5 days per week
