Live In Couple Job Nr. Troon Ayrshire

Greycoat Lumleys’ client are seeking a couple to work as a Caretaker/Groundsman & Housekeeper on their small family owned and managed country estate near Troon in Ayrshire, Scotland. The estate has a country house venue which has been owned by the family for many years. The house was extensively refurbished and opened commercially under the management of the owners.

The house is let on an exclusive basis to groups looking for excellent quality and a warm and friendly atmosphere. The owners take pride in the fact that the house very much feels like a home rather than a hotel. It is run professionally, but in a warm and approachable manner. They have hosted various high profile guests over the years, but do so in a discreet manner and see all of their guests as equally important.

To date, their bookings are seasonal with busy summers and quiet winters. They regularly host groups of golfers, corporate groups and friends and families looking for luxury holiday accommodation or somewhere to celebrate a special occasion, all catered for by their in house catering team. The house has consistently scored very highly in Visit Scotland’s quality assurance scheme and has been a 5 star venue since it joined the program 10 years ago.

In addition to the main house, the estate also has farmland, woodland and 14 properties. Most of their employees live in cottages on the estate and the successful applicant will have the option of living in one of the estate properties with views of the sea. The region is famous for its World class golf courses and is a very welcoming and desirable place to live.
