Live In Couple Job Gloucestershire
A client are looking for a Live In Couple to run their weekend residence which is in a lovely rural village close to Cirencester.
They have employed a Couple for the last 12 years who have now retired.
You will be required to keep the property to high standard, the client has high attention to detail. Housekeeping duties will include cleaning, washing and ironing.
As a Housekeeper you should be able to clean and handle antique furniture and fabrics.
Ideally one the Couple should be a competent family cook, however this is not essential – if they have dinner parties they get an external Chef into cater for these.
Houseman role is to work alongside your partner doing houseman duties during the weekend when the family are in residence, you should be happy to serve at a table, prepare the fires, meet and greet guests, do some occasional driving
The family arrive on Friday and stay until Sunday of the house, they have 2 daughters one who comes home regularly and the other on occasions, they entertain some weekends. You should be self-starters and be able to manage your time and ensure the house is ready for the family’s weekend visits, the house must be fully stocked.
There is a full time gardener employed so you will be required to help with garden maintenance duties, handyman jobs inside and outside the house during the week days when the family are not in residence. A groom is also employed who lives in on the estate.
The ideal couple must be pet friendly as the family have dogs who come to the house with them at the weekend, when they go away abroad you will look after the dogs which would be approx. 2 weeks at any one time. They require a Couple who are well presented, discretion and trustworthy is very important to the client.
Start Date : ASAP
Salary: £750/£800 npw
Accommodation: 3 bedroom cottage provided which is just situated right next to the wall of the estate
Driving: One candidates must be a confident driver, ideally both but not essential
Working week: 5 days per week, 2 days off in the week – at the weekend working day will be a split shift
