Live In or Live Out Full-Time Housekeeper/Dog Sitter Job in Worcestershire
A lovely client is seeking a flexible and reliable Live In or Live Out Full-Time Housekeeper with Dog Sitting when they are away to care for their four dogs and assist with everyday housekeeping household duties.
The family consists of two principals and their two children, aged 11 and 9 years old. They live in a beautiful 8-bedroom country property set within 60 acres of land, including 10 acres of formal gardens.
The family have four much-loved dogs: two Cocker Spaniels, a Cotton de Tulear and a Rhodesian Ridgeback. The dogs are much loved members of the family and the clients do not like using kennels when they are away so the role would have to include on site live-in care of the dogs when they are not in residence.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys caring a young family with busy lives and lovely dogs and is happy to be flexible with their duties throughout the year.
Duties to include:
- Housekeeping; cleaning of home and all relevant duties to do with management of the home
- weekly bed changing
- dusting and polishing
- ideally must have some experience of family style meal cooking to support client’s food provision during the week
- Caring for the family's four dogs
- Dog sitting while the family are away on holiday (approximately 9 weeks per year, with holidays lasting a maximum of 3 consecutive weeks)
- Walking the dogs
- Security and alarms
The ideal candidate will be:
- Have experience in a housekeeping role for a family
- Be discreet
- Organised and a good time keeper
- Have a see/do positive attitude
- Happy around children
- Be able to drive
- Comfortable with some home/family style cooking
- Experienced in caring for multiple dogs, including larger breeds
- Flexible and adaptable
- Friendly and approachable
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Happy to assist with a variety of household and estate duties as required
Accommodation (Live In): Private one-bedroom annexe. Partners and pets may be considered for the right candidate
Working Hours: When the family are in residence: Monday to Friday, 30 - 40 hours per week with flexibility when the family require
Weekends will be required when the family are away on holiday to provide full care for the dogs. Occasional help will be required at busy weekend times but can be taken in lieu during the working week when needed.
The family travel for approximately 9 weeks each year, 3 weeks maximum length at a time
Salary: £42,000 - £45,000
