Live-in Housekeeper Job, Surrey
A new client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking an experienced and reliable Live-In Housekeeper to join their household. The property is a four-bedroom, three-bathroom home, and the successful candidate will be responsible for cooking and pet care duties.
The role offers separate accommodation in a one-bedroom annexe with a living area. The housekeeper will use the kitchen in the main house; however, as the clients travel frequently, there will often be time to have the kitchen to themselves. The clients are in the UK on average half of the year.
Duties:
Hands-on housekeeping and maintaining the home to a high standard
Cleaning, laundry and general household duties
Cooking approximately three times per week
Grocery shopping and errands
Caring for two indoor cats, including feeding four times a day and daily brushing
Occasional weekend work
Travel to Switzerland with the family, up to max six times per year
Using your own initiative to ensure the smooth running of the household
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be diligent, reliable and able to work independently, with good attention to detail and the ability to use their own initiative. You should be confident with hands-on housekeeping and a good amount of home cooking, and comfortable taking responsibility for the running of the household when the clients are away. You will be able to prepare meals when needed.
A genuine love of cats is essential, as the successful candidate will eventually take responsibility for pet sitting and caring for the two cats when the principals travel. This will include their daily feeding, brushing and general wellbeing.
A full driving licence and your own car are essential for the role. The family may also travel to Switzerland up to four times per year, so a candidate with an EU passport and the relevant right to work/ travel within Europe would be ideal.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, 7 hours per day, with occasional weekend work.
Accommodation: Separate spacious modern one-bedroom annexe with a living area. The kitchen is located in the main house but basic cooking appliances will be provided for in the annexe. No pets or partner
Salary: negotiable depending on experience
