Live in Housekeeping / Cook job in Chelsea

A couple in Chelsea are looking for a discreet, trustworthy live in Housekeeper/Cook to help them out. They have had a couple with them for 19 years who are now retiring and moving back to Portugal so they will do a handover with you before you start.

The couple have two daughters aged 11 and 14 who are off to boarding school in September, but they will be home on weekends. They also have a small pet dog that you must be happy to walk and feed.

Mum and dad lead busy lives and dad travels a lot with work, so weekdays will be quite quiet. Your daily duties will include cleaning, laundry, ironing, grocery shopping, running errands and simple cooking. The couple typically enjoy Mediterranean dishes and are happy for you to follow recipes.

The ideal candidate will be well presented, reliable, have a gentle character and take pride in their work. You must be able to deep clean well. You will be required to travel with the family to their home in Italy during the summer and you must be happy to take your holidays when the family are on holiday (school holidays).

The family are also going to hire a part time cleaner to work Sundays and possibly some extra hours during the week to help you out, and keep things ticking over smoothly should you need it.

They will occasionally have a dinner party that you must be happy to cook for (max 8 people), but mum is happy to discuss menu’s with you. You must also be happy to occasionally babysit.
