Live in Housekeeping / Cook job in Kensington , London

A couple with two sons aged 4.5 & 7.5 are seeking a child friendly, well presented, discreet, pro-active, Housekeeper/Cook to help them out. They already employ an afternoon Nanny to help with the children in the afternoons.

Your daily duties will include the cleaning, laundry & ironing all to a very high standard. You must have a great eye for detail and take pride in your work. The Victorian home has been refurbished and has modern décor and there is expensive furniture, artwork and delicate surfaces such as marble to care for.

In the mornings, you must prepare breakfast ready for the boys who mum wakes up. They typically enjoy pancakes. You must be happy to help get them ready and out the door for school which they attend fulltime from 8.30am – 4.30pm. Mum and dad both work fulltime, plus dad travels a lot. Mum and the Nanny do the school runs and activity runs so when the children are home from school you must have dinner ready for them at 5.30pm and the parents at 7.00pmish. They enjoy simple tasty family style dishes and are happy for you to follow recipes.

In between this you will be required to help get the children ready for bed by 7.00pm. They follow a routine so you must be happy implementing this alongside mum and dad.

Additional weekly duties will include errand running, managing the wardrobes meticulously, grocery shopping, reading the children stories when needed and you must be technology savvy as the home has iPad’s to control lighting and so on.

The family have no pets due to allergies and it would be a bonus if you wanted to travel with them, but this is not essential as they have a French student who helps them out on weekends and she is happy to do the travel with the family. You must be happy baby sitting up to twice per week if needed.
