Live In Nanny Job, Milan, ASAP Start

A warm and busy family based just outside of Milan is looking for an experienced, organised, and professional nanny to look after their six children aged 3, 5, 8, 10, 12 and 13 years old. All children are in full-time school. The two youngest children require closer supervision and more hands-on care, but the Nanny will occasionally be required to have sole charge of all six children on a proxy parenting capacity. The household is fully staffed, and mum likes to be involved in her children's lives, so there is a lot of support for the nanny. The ideal nanny will be energetic and proactive, yet calm and discrete.

The children attend a British school, so it is essential for the nanny to have knowledge of the British curriculum and be able to support with GCSE level homework. There is also a private tutor who supports with the older children too. The family have other properties in the UK and Europe so the nanny will be required to travel with them in school holidays.

An up to date first aid certificate and police check are essential for this position.

Duties:

  • Morning routine (breakfast assistance, packing school bags & lunch boxes, ensuring uniforms are ready)
  • School drop-offs and pick-ups
  • After-school routine (unpacking lunch boxes, overseeing homework, organising activities)
  • Supervising, playing with, bathing, and putting to bed the two youngest children
  • Supervising homework and tutoring sessions
  • Occasional children’s meal preparation
  • Keeping children’s rooms, bathrooms, play areas, and laundry tidy
  • Planning weekly schedules and activities (playdates, sports, tutors, etc)
  • Occasional proxy parenting (sole charge of all 6 children for short periods)
