Live in Nanny, Lisbon, Portugal, ASAP start
A warm welcoming family based between Lisbon and Cascais are seeking a professional, experienced, and educationally focused nanny for their two daughters aged 3 and 7 years old.
The family are looking for a creative and proactive nanny with a positive attitude. The eldest child is at school, so confidence supporting with homework, phonics, spelling, and reading is essential. The little one requires engaging, age-appropriate activities and support with developmental milestones. She will start school in September 2026.
The ideal candidate will have experience with both toddlers and school-aged children and be a team player, comfortable working in a fully staffed household. Someone energetic, playful, and proactive, who will engage with the children in a fun yet responsible way, would be a perfect fit.
An up to date first aid certificate and police check are essential for this position.
Duties:
- School drop offs and pickups
- Supporting with homework, phonics, and reading
- Planning engaging and educational activities at home and outdoors
- Preparing healthy meals for the children
- Managing bedtime routines
- Doing the children’s laundry
- Keeping the children’s spaces and belongings organised and tidy
- Monitoring school calendar and communications
- Occasional babysitting
Days and hours:
- From now until September: Wednesday to Friday from 1pm to 9.30pm and Saturday 12 to 8pm
- From September onwards: three weekdays from 3.30pm to 9.30pm and two weekend days from 9am to 9pm
Salary: €3,500 - €4,000 net per month
Driving: essential
Travel: yes, every school holiday (and whole summer)
Language: English essential, Portuguese bonus
Pets: one dog
Other staff employed: fully staffed
Accommodation: Own bedroom and bathroom in a separate apartment shared with the housekeeper.
