( 41604 ) Our client -a UHNW family, have a role for an experienced Head Housekeeper at their country estate. The house runs as not only a family holiday home/weekend retreat but also as an events location for the families global business requirements, hosting conferences, dinner, parties and other functions.

We are looking for a very experienced all rounder with a can do attitude, who is personable and open, yet able to achieve 7* standards from their team, leading from the front by example.

Despite the high standards required throughout, the family are friendly and relaxed. It is important that all staff know how to interact with them, but also maintain a professional distance.

The role can be live in if necessary in which case the accommodation will be in staff accommodation on site

 

Duties to include

  • Supervising a team of five Housekeepers

  • Ability to manage a team with a fair and encouraging management style

  • Taking a hands on approach to the management of the housekeeping team, the successful candidate will need to be happy to lead by example and work alongside the team to achieve the high standards that are expected.

  • Training of the Housekeeping team.

  • Creating of shifts and rotas in conjunction with the House Manager.

  • Ensuring that the house is clean and presentable at all times and ready for spur of the moment visits from the family and their guests

  • Stock taking and placing orders with the House Manager. Carrying out inventories on the stock levels.

  • Managing a schedule of deep cleaning of the property, so as to cause minimum inconvenience to the Principals.

  • Liaising with the House Manager on a daily basis, to ensure that the house is prepared for any and all upcoming visits

  • Assisting with operational requirement s for events and ensuring that the house is adequately staffed.

  • Recruitment in conjunction with the House manager and the HR manager for the housekeeping department

  • Complying with guidelines outlined for the proper use, protection and safety of tasks in particular those relating to the COSHH regulations.

  • To put together a standard operating procedure book that gives details of all aspects of the housekeeping within the house.

 

Driving essential, Must have own car

 

Hours 5 day week, 50 hours per week with flexibility

Salary  £40k Gross Per annum live in OR £41.5h GPA Live Out ( Approx £ 590-610npw)
