Private Chef Job in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to Start ASAP

High Profile family based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is looking for a Private Chef to join their household. The family is looking for a flexible, committed and dynamic candidate who understand the boundaries of a private household.

 

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare macrobiotic and healthy food for the principal, according to her specific dietary requirements

  • Oversee the preparation of all food and beverages in the main kitchen and the service of food and beverages from restaurants and elsewhere

  • Order and purchase food and beverages and manage grocery delivery, storage and inventory, as well as prepared food orders from restaurants and elsewhere

  • Ensure that food and beverages are of the highest quality, are organic as much as possible and are stored appropriately

  • Be familiar with gluten-free food, ensure that gluten-free food is prepared in a separate area from foods containing gluten and only gluten-free food is served to the principal, as well as other foods appropriate to her dietary requirements

  • Assist the head chef and head waiters in planning menus for daily meals and special events

  • Ensure that the principal’s standards are upheld: the food is cooked properly, is well presented and is served quickly, so that hot food is hot and salads are cool and crisp

  • Establish weekly budgets for daily food preparation and special events

  • Hold regular training and staff meetings and address conflicts between staff members

 

 

Personal profile

  • Culinary skills, a passion for food and high quality plate and table presentation

  • Previous Kitchen Manager or Assistant Kitchen Manager experience and previous experience as a macrobiotic chef

  • A bachelor's degree in food service management or similar, preferably with culinary and food safety certifications

  • Excellent communication skills to be able to accurately and easily communicate standards and cooking methods to staff

  • Fluent in spoken and written English

  • Loyal, trustworthy and discrete
