Live In Security and Houseman Job in West Sussex
A wonderful opportunity has become available for a candidate to work at a Castle in Sussex. This is an exciting and varied position, covering duties from handling telephone calls/enquiries, property security, general upkeep of the home and occasionally assisting with private events. The role is to work on a rotational basis with other live in members of staff, to ensure the duties are always covered; therefore a good team player and communicator is essential.
The home is open to the public for half of the year; during this time you will be required to be the first point of contact at the front desk for permanent and seasonal staff, business visitors, and handling daily telephone calls and enquiries from members of the public. From November to March, the Castle is closed for the season and used for private purposes, including occasional shoot parties. There is a strong element of security to this role; you will be responsible for the overall checks of the home and taking responsibility for alarms and fire safety checks in and around the home.

Ideal skills/Candidate required:
Previous private household experience is desirable
Front of house/concierge experience- being able to manage calls, deal with enquiries
Good communication and organisational skills
Knowledge of residential security and, dealing with alarms is ideal
Hospitality skills are an advantage, to assist with occasional events, although not essential as training can be offered
