Live Out Couple Job,


A private family household are seeking to recruit a domestic Junior couple to assist with the running of two properties for the Principal. Primary responsibility will involve daily cleaning and laundry tasks. You will also engage in maintenance tasks, driving and occasional table service. Exceptional attention to detail is required, the right candidates must be extremely well organized and able to adapt to last minute changes.


You will both need to be flexible and able to work long hours during busy periods. You will both have a strong character and good communication skills. You must both be trustworthy and able to demonstrate that you can handle confidential information appropriately.


You will work as part of a team which include a Butler/Valet, Housekeeper and PA’s


Key Responsibilities and Hours


Cleaning and laundry

  • Daily cleaning across two properties – a main residence in South West London and a secondary property in central London.

  • Performing a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing.

  • Areas to clean will include the interior and exterior of the properties and vehicles.

  • This will include many valuable and antique items so a great degree of care and outstanding attention to detail is required.

  • Daily laundry and ironing of fine clothes, bedding, linens and table cloths.

  • Managing the stock of cleaning and laundry products.

  • Work with other household staff to pack and unpack for the Principal when he travels abroad


Maintenance and technology

  • Maintaining and repairing cleaning appliances.

  • Maintenance jobs such as hanging pieces of art, oiling doors and changing light bulbs.

  • The properties have several technical systems including televisions, sound systems, heating and lighting. Experience of operating such systems will be needed.



  • Running errands into central London using company vehicles to drop off and collect items.

  • Driving to transport luggage to airports


Service and Events

  • Daily table service as required

  • Assist with events hosted by the Principal at properties

  • Prepare the property before events

  • Clean the property after events

  • Assist with service where necessary during events



  • 10 hours per day, working 5 days out of 7 which will include Saturday and Sunday on a regular/rota basis. Hours may vary when the Principal is in residence. Occasional travel within the UK to other rental properties.


This is an excellent role for a Junior Couple who are looking to make the transition from either Yachts, luxury Chalets or high end hotels into a private household.

As the role is working in a fully staffed household you will report to the Housekeeper and PA.


Please note this is a LIVE OUT role and you should be happy to live within commuting distance of Kingston Upon Thames.


It is essential that one is a Driver.

Candidate Profile


Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in private households, hospitality, hotels or restaurants.

  • Experience of serving customers, diners, guests or a Principal directly.

  • Familiar with cleaning and laundry.

  • Good standard of written and spoken English

  • Right to work within the UK

  • Able and willing to drive in the UK
