Live out Housekeeper Job in Highgate, North London

A returning client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking an experienced, professional full-time Housekeeper for their prestigious family home in Highgate. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a busy, well-established household and work as part of a highly professional team, maintaining the property to the highest standards.

The household is dynamic and family-focused, with two school-age children (ages 12 and 10) and a dog, blending warmth with polished professionalism. You will collaborate closely with the family and any external contractors to ensure the home runs smoothly while keeping it impeccably presented at all times.

Duties to include:

  • Maintaining the property to the highest standard, including dusting, hoovering, and general tidying.
  • Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, and all living areas.
  • Laundry, ironing, wardrobe management, and care of delicate, high-value designer clothing.
  • Running errands and online shopping when required.
  • Cooking 2–3 times per week, with experience in vegetarian and Asian cuisine desirable.
  • A bonus would be occasional childcare support, including supervision during school runs, parents’ events, or travel, with overnight stays by agreement.
  • Managing and liaising with contractors, gardeners, and tradespeople.
  • Pet care for two pugs

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in similar private household roles, with excellent references.
  • Be discreet, trustworthy, reliable, and non-smoking.
  • Be organised, efficient, proactive, and able to follow instructions.
  • Be dog-friendly
  • Driving would be a bonus; the family can provide an automatic car 

Have a clean DBS check and be able to demonstrate longevity in previous roles.

Start date: As soon as the right candidate is found

Hours: Monday – Friday, ideally 9 am – 6 pm 

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 gross per annum
