Live-out Housekeeping Job in Notting Hill, West London
A semi-formal family based in Notting Hill is seeking an experienced and professional Housekeeper to join their busy household. The family consists of a couple with four children — two school-aged, one in boarding school, and a 3-month-old baby. They employ both a Driver and a Nanny, and the household is well-structured and supported. The property is a four-floor home, and the family is looking for a reliable, efficient, and detail-oriented candidate who takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organisation. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail with a proactive, ownership-led approach, have strong organisational skills, be able to work independently, and have a high level of discretion, professionalism, and respect for boundaries. You must also have prior experience working in formal or semi-formal private households. A uniform will be required for this role.
Duties to include:
- Maintaining all areas of the home to impeccable standards at all times
- Daily cleaning plus scheduled deep cleaning (including during travel periods)
- Laundry and linen care, including delicate and high-value garments
- Managing dry cleaning
- Ironing
- Wardrobe organisation, seasonal rotation, and packing and unpacking for travel
- Maintaining organisation across cupboards, storage, and household spaces
- Managing household inventory (cleaning supplies, linens, essentials)
- Grocery organisation, light errands, and coordination of maintenance when required
- Using non-toxic and low-toxic cleaning products
The family has a Cavapoo dog, primarily cared for by the Nanny; however, the Housekeeper may occasionally assist with dog walking. The online grocery shopping is managed by the Nanny.
