Part-Time (25 Hours) Housekeeper Job in Chipping Norton
A lovely family are seeking an experienced, proactive and trustworthy Housekeeper to assist in the smooth running of their family home in Chipping Norton. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of a property, has excellent housekeeping skills and is happy to help with a range of household duties.
The household is home to a couple, their young son (2) and daughter (4), a friendly dog, and they employ a part time Nanny. They are looking for a flexible, organised and hands-on Housekeeper who takes pride in maintaining a high standard throughout the home and is happy to assist with childcare and pet care when required.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a private household, excellent attention to detail, and be confident managing a busy family home independently. A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to adapt to the family's needs are essential.
Duties will include:
Maintaining exceptional cleanliness and presentation throughout the home
Daily housekeeping, laundry, ironing, wardrobe and linen care
Caring for wooden floors, delicate surfaces and household organisation
Managing household supplies, shopping, deliveries and general errands
Preparing guest accommodation
Light food preparation and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen
Liaising with contractors and overseeing repairs when required
Acting as key holder and ensuring the property is secure during the family's absence
Providing occasional childcare support, nursery runs and babysitting
Caring for the family dog
House: Two floors, eight bedrooms
Days & Hours: 25 hours over 5 days, ideally in the morning
Salary: £20 - £22 GPH
