Live out Housekeeper/Cook Job in Chelsea, London

A returning client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking an experienced Housekeeper/Cook to assist with the smooth running of their home in Chelsea. The family consists of a couple and their child under the age of 18, who attends school locally. They live in a renovated three-floor, four-bedroom house with a patio, featuring a modern interior with designer furnishings and antiques. They are looking for a housekeeper who will take pride in maintaining the high standards in the home.

The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and experienced in managing a private household to an exceptional standard. They should be confident taking full responsibility for all housekeeping duties, enjoy cooking simple, healthy family meals, and be happy to run household errands. The family is looking for someone who is discreet, trustworthy, and able to work independently while becoming a valued part of their household. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.

Duties to include:

• General cleaning

• Laundry, ironing, and folding

• Changing bed linen

• Caring for indoor window plants

• Sending items to the dry cleaners

• Grocery shopping and picking up household supplies

• Running errands, including parcel returns and post office visits

• Planning menus together with the family

• Preparing simple family meals such as fish, salads, pasta

• Assisting the family when entertaining approximately once every two months

• Maintaining excellent organisation and presentation throughout the home

Home: Three-floor, four-bedroom house with a patio

Other staff: Gardener

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm

Salary: £45k–£50k gross per annum (depending on experience)
