Live out Nanny Job, Notting Hill, mid-August start
A returning client of Greycoat Lumleys is looking for a Nanny to care for their two children, a boy and a girl, both at school full-time and under the age of 10. One of the children has a nut allergy. The children enjoy a variety of activities, including but not limited to pottery, tennis, football, and spending time with animals. Both parents are hands on and around – being comfortable with shared care is essential.
The family has recently relocated from abroad. The nanny will need to be familiar with London and well-versed in the activities that the city has to offer children. Confidence using public transport is a must. The ability to drive is preferred, but not essential as the family also employs a driver.
The successful candidate will report to the chief of staff. The family is looking for someone active and energetic (the house is on five floors), friendly and playful, yet also calm and caring. The ideal nanny will encourage the children’s curiosity, independence, resilience, and confidence. The family values a positive and can-do attitude, and team work.
An up to date first aid certificate and police check are essential for this position.
Duties:
- School pickups
- Coordinating afterschool activities, clubs, and playdates
- Preparing meals for the children (when the chef is off)
- Helping with homework
- Researching stimulating activities
- Doing the children’s laundry and managing uniforms
- Keeping the children’s areas tidy
- Staying on top of school admin
- Booking doctor’s appointments when needed
- Packing and unpacking for trips
- Occasional weekend or overnight (paid extra)
Salary: £60,000 GPA (negotiable for top candidate)
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 45h per week
- Monday to Thursday: 11am to 8pm
- Friday: 7am to 4pm
Driving: preferred but not essential
Travel: unlikely / TBC
Language: English essential, French/Spanish bonus
Other members of staff: fully staffed
