Live out Nanny Job, Notting Hill, September start (but happy to wait)

A client of Greycoat Lumleys is looking for an exceptional and educationally-focused nanny to care for their three children. The youngest will be 8 months old at the start of employment. His sisters are 6 and 9 years old and both at school.

This is a semi-formal and fully staffed household. As such, a professional and discrete team player is essential. A maternity nurse is currently employed for the little one and will stay with until January 2027. The family also employs a full-time housekeeper/cook, a housekeeper/nanny, a weekend nanny, and a driver. 

The role will be entirely focused on the children. There will be no cooking or laundry required. The nanny will need focus on the developmental needs of the children; not only childcare but their entire holistic development. The ideal nanny will adapt to the age, stage, and needs of each child, but also encourage their independence and build their confidence. The family is looking for a switched-on, proactive role model who will do her part in teaching the children life skills and good manners. A genuine passion for child development is essential, as is the natural ability to create an environment in which children deveolop curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

An up to date first aid certificate and police check are essential for this position.

Duties:

  • All standard nursery duties
  • Accompany the older children to school and various activities (with the driver)
  • Engage the children in conversation and activities with intention
  • Manage the children's admin (school-related, appointments, etc.)
  • Children and family coordination / family logistics
  • Create opportunities for the children to learn outside the classroom through recognizing teachable moments and creating enriching activities 
  • Provide guidance and encourage independence 
  • Teach good manners and etiquette
  • Travel with the family

Salary: £70,000 GPA, negotiable depending on experience
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 7am to 7pm or 7.30am to 7.30pm
Driving: not required
Travel: yes
Language: English essential, French bonus but not essential
Pets: one small dog
Other members of staff: fully staffed
