Live-out Senior Housekeeper Job near Embankment & Shoreditch, London
Two families are seeking an experienced Senior Housekeeper / Executive Housekeeper to work across their two central London residences. One household is a mother and her adult daughter, while the other is a couple. Both properties have two cats, so a candidate who is comfortable around pets is essential.
The property near Shoreditch is approximately 180–200 sq m, while the one near Embankment is approximately 300 sq m. The successful candidate will divide their time between both households, working 2–3 days at each location. The homes have some valuable artwork and require someone who is experienced maintaining high standards.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly professional housekeeper who is looking for a varied role combining traditional housekeeping with household organisation and executive-style support. The ideal candidate will have strong private household experience, excellent organisational skills, and be proactive, discreet, reliable, and flexible. They should be confident managing household services, deliveries, errands, and reservations, as well as being happy to work independently across two well-run households.
Duties to include:
- Maintain both properties to a consistently high standard of cleanliness and organisation
- Light cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas of the homes
- Vacuuming and maintaining the properties to an excellent standard
- Cleaning and maintaining cat litter boxes, including scooping, and changing litter
- Laundry, ironing, and organising clothes
- Unpacking suitcases and putting laundry and belongings away
- Organising and managing deliveries, including Amazon, dry cleaning, and groceries
- Researching and making reservations for travel, restaurants, events, and transportation
- Deep cleaning and organising one room at a time on a quarterly schedule
- Maintaining the roof terrace to ensure it is always ready for entertaining
- Organising and coordinating household services, including vets, letting agents, cleaners, window cleaners, builders, and other contractors
- Receiving and welcoming houseguests when the principals are travelling
- Running local errands, including collecting dry cleaning, picking up pet medication, dropping off donations, and shipping packages
- Changing and organising holiday décor at the Trafalgar Square property as required
- Ensuring both homes are well stocked and ready for the principals
- Other ad hoc household and administrative duties as required
- BONUS: Preparing healthy, light meals for the week (Embankment property)
Properties: Two central London residences – approximately 180–200 sq m near Shoreditch and approximately 300 sq m near Embankment
Pets: 2 cats at each property
Working days and hours: Monday to Friday, working 2–3 days at each property, 8 am – 4 pm or 9 am – 5 pm
Salary: £50k–£55k gross per annum (depending on experience)
