Part Time Housekeeper Job in Reading, Berkshire
A new client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking an experienced, proactive, and highly organised Housekeeper to assist with the smooth day-to-day running of their home in Readiing, near Twyford.
The family consists of a couple who live in a beautiful farmhouse with five bedrooms arranged over two floors. They are looking for a trustworthy and dependable housekeeper who can take ownership of the household and work independently, ensuring the home is maintained to a high standard at all times.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be highly organised, proactive in their approach, and confident managing a busy household. Previous experience running a private household is essential. There may also be some light food preparation required from time to time.
Duties will include:
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property
- Running the household on a day-to-day basis
- Grocery shopping and household purchasing
- Liaising with and overseeing contractors
- Changing bed linen and making beds
- Laundry and ironing
- Household organisation and decluttering
- Running errands
- Light food preparation when required
- Other ad hoc housekeeping duties as required
Nearest Station: Reading
House: Farmhouse, Five Bedrooms, Two Floors
Days & Hours: 20–30 hours per week
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
