Part Time Housekeeper Job in Kensington, West London
A lovely family based in Kensington is seeking an experienced, proactive, and trustworthy part time housekeeper to assist with the smooth day-to-day running of their household. The family consists of a couple and their two young children, both under the age of three. They also have two cats and currently employ a part time housekeeper whom they are looking to replace.
The family lives in a spacious five-bedroom home arranged over four floors, with six bathrooms. The property is well-maintained and straightforward to manage, with a small collection of paintings and silver pieces, but not particularly delicate or high-value items.
Duties will include:
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home
- Laundry and ironing
- Deep cleaning
- Light cooking for the children
- Keeping the home tidy, organised, and well-maintained
- Occasional supervision of the children when required
- Other ad hoc housekeeping duties as required
The family is looking for a kind, gentle, and experienced housekeeper who can work independently and take initiative. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be highly organised, and be comfortable around young children. While the primary focus of the role is housekeeping, the housekeeper should be happy to keep an eye on the children on occasion if the mother needs to step out briefly.

Days & Hours: 15–20 hours per week over 2–3 days (flexible, to be spread across the week)
Salary: £19–£21 gross per hour (open to PAYE or Self-Employed candidates)
