Part time Housekeeper job in Stoke Newington, North London
A new client of Greycoat Lumleys, a family with two teenage children, is looking for a reliable and experienced part time Housekeeper to join their household. The family live in a 6-bedroom, 4-storey townhouse and already have a cleaning lady who works three times per week. The principal travels frequently for work, so the family are looking for someone organised, proactive and trustworthy who can confidently manage the household and ensure everything runs smoothly.
The ideal candidate for this role will be reliable, hardworking, and flexible, with excellent attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude. Experience caring for antique or delicate furnishings would be highly advantageous, as the home contains old wooden furniture, silver, and brass items.
Duties to include:
- General cleaning and deep cleaning
- Laundry and ironing
- Care and cleaning of old wooden furniture
- Silver polishing and brass care
- Buying groceries
- Running errands
- Liaising with tradesmen and contractors
- Managing household logistics
- Assisting with alarm systems and household security
- Preparing lunch/meal prep for the children
- Taking care of and maintaining the roof terrace
House: 6 bedrooms, 4-storey townhouse
Working Days and Hours: 15–20 hours per week, either 5 days or 3 days per week. Mornings or afternoons
Salary: £19–£21 GPH
