Part time Housekeeper/Cook Job in Clapham, London

A new client of Greycoat Lumleys, a professional couple who are expecting their first baby in December, is seeking an experienced and reliable Housekeeper/Cook to assist in the smooth running of their home. The family lives in a two-bedroom house in Clapham and is looking for someone who can confidently manage housekeeping duties while preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals from scratch.

Duties to include:

General cleaning
Laundry and ironing
Changing bed linen
Keeping cupboards, pantry, and fridge organised
Planning weekly menus with the principals
Preparing packed lunches and evening meals
Batch cooking meals for the weekend
Cooking nutritious meals from scratch using fresh ingredients
Managing and preparing online grocery orders for approval
Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean, safe, and hygienic
Noticing and reporting any household maintenance or supply requirements
Ensuring the home is kept tidy, organised, and well maintained

The ideal candidate will be reliable, trustworthy, and proactive, with previous experience in a similar role within a private household. They will be an accomplished home cook who enjoys preparing healthy meals from scratch and is confident planning menus, batch cooking, and working independently while maintaining high standards throughout the home.

Property: 2-bedroom house

Working week: Monday to Friday

Working hours: 3 hours per day (15 hours per week), with cooking expected on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. Additional hours available by agreement.

Start date: As soon as the right candidate is found

Salary: Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience
